Gemotions

Her fingers danced over the piano keys, the notes of a familiar melody filling the air. Chloe closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her. The sound had soothed her and provided an escape from the world. She continued to play, the music flowing through her.

A bulky package sat on the front porch. Inside, a book and a letter. The script was a painful reminder. The letter was an attempt to mend old wounds.

She stopped playing. She tossed the letter into the fire. She then turned back to the piano. Her fingers found the keys again.
